Electric adjustable beds
Our Electrically adjustable beds, also known as variable posture beds, offer a wide variety of positions and features making them more suitable for those with specific medical or health needs. They can be adjusted electronically while the person is on the bed. The movement of the bed is controlled by a handset, which means the person in bed can also make adjustments themselves.
Our adjustable beds are made in Germany by an NBF (National Bed Federation) approved manufacturer and can be adjusted in four parts. The upper section can be raised incrementally to a total elevation height of 65cm from the flat position, making it possible to sit up to read or watch TV and make getting in and out of bed easier, you can also raise the bottom of the bed to elevate your legs to a total elevation height of 45cm from the flat position. There is also a break at the knee which helps to prevent you from slipping down the bed. Additionally, there is a flat, fixed section so even with the bed elevated to it's maximum height you can still sit on the bed from the side with your feet on the floor. This flat, fixed section has adjustable tensioners for firmness preference.
The beds are available in a variety of sizes from 2'6" (small single) up to 6' (Super King Size) and can be made so that they operate individually or as a complete unit. Most people opt for the bed to operate individually giving each user their desired positions. The mattress recommended for this type of bed is available in two specifications, Memory Pocket which has 1000 specially formulated pocket springs and a 2" memory foam layer or, the Memory Comfort mattress which has an 8 inch reflex foam base and a 2 inch memory foam top layer. The mattress is included in the price.
The beds are offered in 30 different fabric choices and if you require a headboard you have plenty of designs to choose from.
